Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman (American gymnast) was also a teammate and captain of the Fierce Five in 2012 and the 2016 Final Five US Women Olympic Gymnastics. In 2012, she was awarded gold in the team competitions as well as the floor workouts. For the balance beam she was awarded the bronze medal. This meant that she became the first American in the Olympics who had the most number of medals. She won the gold in the team competition in the 2016 Olympics and made her and Gabby Douglas the first Americans to be the first pair of gold medalists back-to-back. In addition, she was awarded silver medals in the all-around individual event and in the floor. Between the two Olympics she had taken off from gymnastics competition for three years. She was also a part of the gold-winning American teams at two World Championships. She began learning gymnastics in the age of 2 and her favourite event is floor exercise. Aly has enrolled in her local Uniting Against Lung Cancer group to honor her late grandma. Aly hopes to be an entrepreneur in fashion and broaden the line of socks and leotards in the coming years. Fierce the new novel she is working on will be published sometime in the coming year.
