Julianne Moore
Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood actor and writer who's talent has brought the attention of critics and recognition. Sagittarius in birth and born December 3, 1960 at North Carolina. She's the eldest of three siblings who were born to Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper as well as Anne a psychologist. She's of Scottish-English descent. Moore's father was a mover often due to his work. It was it difficult for her to meet and keep friendships. Moore was in the class of Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved to America. Then she began to perform on stage. When she completed the requirements for her B.F.A. at Boston University in 1983, Moore continued to seek further studies. Following graduation, Moore relocated to New York, where she began her professional career in off-Broadway theatre. Her career in theater began with her debut in New York with Off-Broadway Theater following her graduation. In 1985, she made her debut on screen as a character in The Edge of Night. It was in 1986 that she made her breakthrough when she portrayed the role as Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes in the show The World Turns. She stayed on this show from 1988 to 1990 and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award. Her first movie appearance was Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The movie she later described as a bad budget production. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), each Robert Altman productions, were her first film. The latter was critically acclaimed and earned her a number of nominations for the film. Moore got her first role as the lead role on the screen in Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg's choice to cast Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, one of the top grossing films of 1997, was a significant moment in Moore's career. She was awarded the SAG award for her role in Magnolia. The Hours, a 2002 film in which she co-starred with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) along with a host of other movies. In 2014, she was in Non-Stop. Moore has been featured in many movies and television shows. Her most recent leading roles is in 2022: When You Finish Securing the World. She has made her mark in Hollywood and is also a children's author. Her first book Freckleface Strawberry was published in 2007 and became one of the bestsellers on The New York Times. The book was later adapted into the basis for a musical and TV series. Moore also published My Mom is Foreigner, the memoir of 2013. Moore is an accomplished writer and actress. Moore's personal life is therefore in the domain of public record. In 1984 she married John Robin and in 1995 the couple divorced. Moore has two children along with Bart Freundlich whom she later was married to in 2003. Moore's life is all about her friends from the family and work.
